Dr. Nabil M. Lawandy
CEO, Solaris Nanosciences 

Dr. Nabil M. Lawandy serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief
Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Solaris
Nanosciences Corporation and Spectra Systems Corporation. From 1981 to 1999,
Dr. Lawandy was a tenured full professor of Engineering and Physics at Brown
University. Dr. Lawandy also serves as the President and Chairman of the
Board of SpectraDisc Corporation, a former subsidiary of Spectra Systems. He
has authored 165 reviewed scientific papers and is an inventor on 39 issued
patents. Dr. Lawandy has also received a Presidential Young Investigator
award, an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, a Rolex Award for Enterprise and a
Samuel Slater Award for Innovation. Solaris Nanosciences is developing
high-margin, materials-based solutions for the solar energy, display and
vision markets. Solaris is designing nanoscale materials to provide a
significantly enhanced optical response for these existing large market
applications.
