Dr. Jimmy Xu
Division of Engineering and Division of Physics, Brown University
Jimmy Xu's research involves photonics and quantum and molecular
electronics. His lab conducts research in nano, molecular and optical
sciences and engineering. One of his current research initiatives involves
DNA sequencing on nanotube-chips, and direct and intracellular read-out of
biomolecular signals by nano-electronic probes. Another area of exploration
in his is quantum optics with applications in optical communications and
infrared sensing. Results from his lab have been reported in over 150
refereed journal papers in science and engineering, and in over 100
conference proceedings. He has been granted 16 patents, and presented at
over 150 invited seminars, keynote and plenary speeches.
