Dave established Kellogg Associates in 2000 and provides services that a Chief Financial Officer does, but for small and mid-sized companies on a part-time basis. He has particular expertise with problem loan workouts and financial turnarounds, financing solutions for small-to-medium-sized businesses and strategic planning and project execution for financial institutions and private companies. He has assisted numerous private companies, financial institutions and other consulting firms throughout New England. Prior to establishing Kellogg Associates, Dave spent 16 years with FleetBoston Financial Group (now part of Bank of America), where he managed both line and staff functions for $1 billion lines of business, planned and executed merger integration projects and acted as an internal consultant.

Allan has practiced law in Rhode Island for many years, concentrating his practice in business reorganization and business consulting. He has served as Counsel for the Debtor, Trustee or creditors in scores of major Chapter 11 Reorganization proceedings in the US Bankruptcy Court in Rhode Island and has been appointed Receiver in more than 400 cases by Federal or State Courts in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and South Carolina, in which he has operated and sold numerous businesses under Court auspices. Allan has also served as Receiver in hundreds of cases involving manufacturing and retail businesses, dozens of nursing home and assisted living cases, stock brokerage firms, shipyards, yacht manufacturers and countless other types of businesses.
